For overnight sessions, a rucksack replaces the carryall and frees your hands for carrying a bedchair.
600D is the standard for carp luggage — lightweight, durable and cost-effective. 1000D is thicker and more abrasion-resistant, ideal for rucksacks and bags that get dragged across rough ground. Both are waterproof when paired with a PVC base. 600D is sufficient for most anglers; 1000D suits heavy-duty use.
Most carp rod holdalls carry 3 assembled rods (with reels attached) plus 3 unassembled rods in separate sleeves — 6 rods total. The assembled rod section has padded reel pockets to prevent damage. Check the length suits your rods — standard holdalls are 160-170 cm for 12-13 ft rods.
A boilie drying bag is a micro-mesh bag that lets air circulate around your boilies after soaking in glug or liquid attractant. Drying the outer skin creates a harder shell that stays on the hair longer while the liquid inside continues leaking attraction. Essential for preparing glugged hookbaits before a session.
